It’s hard to believe that I have been working for 25 years now!! I can still vividly remember sitting in the preplacement talks, listening to people saying I have 25+ years of experience, and wondering how people find the inspiration to keep at it. Hamara Bajaj always brings special memories. The overdose of Delhiites in Mumbai that defined our batch, the triple room joys shared with M&M (Madhav & Mandy), the b@*ls chilling luxury rides in Shailesh’s Contessa, the future vision shared by Vasudeo’s astrology & the crazy divine bhang-filled joys @Holi by the bay to Lam’s econometrics – only to name a few memories. I can never forget the prep for silver jubilee celebrations and how a common purpose brought out the best in us.
Life has been exceptionally kind – both personally and professionally gratifying – and I am grateful everyday to all those whose kindness made me reach here in this journey. Ramya and I live in Mumbai, while our sons Vybhav & Smaran are pursuing their undergraduate programs in Purdue and PennState in USA. Ramya spends her time meaningfully by teaching children with special needs. As a family we are also fortunate to be engaged in renovation of over 100 ancient dilapidated temples in Tamilnadu.
Having spent a significant portion of my life chasing legitimacy (building a career), I am now searching for a purpose that will hopefully define my legacy. While I still have childlike excitement about new things and ideas, I realize that the biggest joys in my life come from spending agenda-less happy moments with my family and friends. I have stopped wasting time on people who care about my designation and destination, and spending time with those who care about me and the journey together.
