The first sixteen years were well protected and highly mobile, moving cities every two years. Then got exposed to the outside world during Engineering followed by the last bastion of formal education (till now) at Bajaj
Moving to Bombay for Management was quite an interesting change, specially from staying in your own room to having three people in a room. As time progressed one realised that this actually was meant to have friends for life (but no benefits since it was a boys only hostel)
The quarter of a century post Bajaj initially involved working with good corporates in India and overseas. Realised early in this period that it's not about being employed but creating employment and that entrepreneurship has a thin line between shareholders and directors.
My last girlfriend and first wife, who was also my first girlfriend and my last wife -Nita, became an integral part of my life, even before our marriage in 2000. Nita has been a career banker for 20 years and now has her own education venture whilst my younger self, in age only - Jai, currently enriches himself at Cathedral. Then there is the most important member of our family - Sunny who is also my darling, since he is the only one who does not answer back at me unlike everybody else who is there in the house, including the staff.
I continue to be in the financial services industry and also an angel investor in companies in different areas. Helping the growing kids of my batchmates / friends to intern or be occupied in the corporate world also happens occasionally. Still learning and have realised that travel is the best form of education, life is not about economics but about relationships and to continue to do the right thing and trying to get it right.
