After my graduation in engineering, there was pressure from my family to appear for the UPSC Exam. I was however not interested in the same. Nevertheless, to gain some exam practice for UPSC, I appeared for other competitive exams including Mumbai University’s CWT for MMS program, and as luck or destiny would have it, gained entry to “JBIMS Class of 1992”.
Little did I know about the course and by the time I started enjoying the course while playing Cricket tournament for the Institute, the placement season started. Not only did JBIMS help me to make a great career in the banking industry, but also made lifelong friends like you all. Still remember how differently the exams were conducted by Mr Lam, Mr Moradianand Mr Suryakumar and the Supervisor “Zeenat”.
Post MMS, started my career with EXIM BANK in Bangalore and then moved to Mumbai for better career opportunities with MNC Banks, specializing in off-shore financing. Presently, am working in Mumbai with one of the largest Japanese Bank, Mizuho Bank, Ltd.
Married to Shailee (an airline employee) and blessed with 2 children. My son, Saumil is following the footsteps of his godfather Ketan Dhamanaskar, pursuing is degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and my younger daughter, Saanvi iscompleting her schooling in Mumbai.
